
From Seattle to Panama City, Eddie McCoven has reported the news on radio, television and digital for nearly 15 years.
Eddie has written, produced, reported and anchored the news in top markets, including San Diego, Los Angeles and Phoenix, and has on-the-ground experience reporting in Latin America.
Eddie has worked for iHeartRadio (including reporting for KFI Los Angeles and KOGO San Diego), Arizona PBS, One America News Network, KUSI-TV (San Diego, Calif.), KYMA-TV (Yuma, Ariz.) and KPLU-FM (Tacoma, Wash.).

Eddie has reported on complex issues facing everyday communities, including immigration, government affairs, law enforcement and first responders, transportation, religion, education, environment and weather.

His writing and digital reporting have been featured on NBC News Radio, Black Information Network, The Steve Harvey Morning Show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Peter Greenberg Worldwide, Times of San Diego, Tacoma News-Tribune, Phoenix Business Journal and the Arizona Daily Star.

Eddie holds a Master of Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where he also works as an adjunct faculty member.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., following his completion of an Associate in Business Management from San Diego Miramar College and Associate in Computer Information Systems from San Diego Mesa College.


Before his time in media, Eddie worked as a retail manager and as a public relations specialist in the music industry as well as the public and non-profit sectors, bringing a wealth of life experience to his reporting.
He’s also a professional musician, playing piano, pipe organ and orchestral percussion among other instruments, and has acted in theater productions and short films.
